My name is Fred de Brabander I worked at Royal Philips/Philips Lighting (Signify) for 38,5 years in various Finance and Accounting positions, both in the Netherlands and abroad in USA and Mexico. As I am retired now I am open for temporary/interim management functions in the field of expertise I have build up over last decades w.r.t controlling, implementation of procurement processes and procurement risk management processes including execution in case of chapter 11/chapter 7 situations to secure continuity for the business.
For the last 10 years I was the Global Supplier Risk Manager for Philips/Philips Lighting (Signify).
In my previous two roles I was the financial analyst and member of the Philips M&A team to merge a major Philips business with a third party involving 40 factories, and the Procurement Controller of one of the main Divisions within Royal Philips (Consumer Electronics/Lifestyle).
As a Procurement Controller I introduced Supplier Financing as a structural instrument to generate Cash Flow. I developed and implemented a Buy/Sell procurement model to utilize leverage for driving cost savings and/or a better control of strategic components, and I developed and implemented a Supplier Risk Framework to support global business in mitigating risks in the supply chain whenever continuity is in jeopardy (e.g. natural disasters, financial distress and insolvency/bankruptcies).Before that I was involved in setting up cash & currency management system, developing a tailor made ERP system for one of our businesses and was leading an advisory group for the Global Business Group Management for strategic investments.
